Fundamental Sensory Systems
How Does DTA Address Each System?
Developmental Therapy Associates was established in 1982, as one of a handful of pediatric sensory integration therapy clinics across the world. For 38 years, this company has been providing quality evaluations, therapy services, and education to the public on sensory integration and processing and how it relates to function and overall well-being. Our facilities have multiple, state of the art sensory spaces with a variety of grounded and suspended equipment specifically intended to target each sensory system. The equipment, along with a variety of games and toys are used in a play-based approach by our therapists to target and provide specific sensory input for each child as a foundation for higher level adaptive skills, including sensory regulation strategies, self-care skills, social/emotional skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and play skills.
