Katie has recently joined the DTA team after moving from Alabama to the triangle in May 2021. Katie received her Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees from the University of South Alabama. She graduated from Occupational Therapy school in 2018 and has worked in the outpatient pediatric setting since 2019. Katie has always been passionate about helping children live full and confident lives and strives to help each child through a child led and individualized approach. Katie loves occupational therapy, because it is where science and creativity come together, in order to provide the most client centered and research-based care. Katie is trained in the CAN-EAT Approach to feeding. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two dogs and traveling with her husband.
