Meadhini Thandalam

Meadhini hails from India and earned her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 2009. She brings over 15 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy.

Meadhini began her career as a pediatric occupational therapist in India, where she spent five years working in sensory integration outpatient clinics and hospital settings.

In 2013, she obtained her OTR registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and moved
to New Jersey the following year. There, she gained valuable experience working in a developmental center for adults with developmental disabilities  before returning to her passion for pediatrics.

Since then, Meadhini has worked in various settings, including public schools, early intervention programs, and outpatient pediatric clinics. In 2021, she relocated to North Carolina, where she continues to provide compassionate, individualized care for children with special needs and their families.

Her clinical expertise includes working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorders, developmental coordination disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, fine-motor and handwriting challenges, visual–perceptual difficulties, feeding issues, and developmental delays

Meadhini believes every child is unique and strives to foster each child’s strengths to help them achieve success in their daily lives.
