You’ve asked and We’ve Answered! Developmental Therapy Associates is bringing back its highly anticipated Summer Social Groups! All summer long our Therapists will host varying weekly social group activities for families wanting a fun way to keep their kiddos engaged during summer break! July Summer Groups

Social Skills Groups for ages 4 to 6 yrs:

Your child would be a good fit if:

Social skills are an area of concern
Child shows interest in interaction with peers
Child’s Speech is understandable to Adults
Child Demonstrates emerging basic social skills
Child may need assistance with any or all of the following skills: cooperative play,initiating conversations, sustaining social interaction with peers

Costs: $400 (flat rate, including all 6 sessions)

Dates: July 11,14, 18, 21, 25, 28

Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Social Skills Groups For Ages 9 to 12 Years:

Your child will be a good fit if:

Child’s speech is understandable
Social Skills are emerging
Generally like being around others
They have difficulties with full body awareness
They have difficulties with collaborative play
They have difficulties with executive functioning skills, transitions, frustration tolerance, problem-solving, and following others’ lead.
They have sensory processing challenges or seek sensory input
Parents want education for carryover in the home and community

Social Skills Groups For Ages 5 to 8 Years:

Your child will be a good fit if:

Emerging communicators (Your child may be using words, pictures, an AAC device, ASL, or a combination of several methods)Social Skills are emerging
Children can participate in an adult led activities with support
Children can acknowledge peers in their space with support
Children may need assistance with engagement, peer to peer interactions, and functional communication
Children who may need assistance with any or all of the following skills: parallel play, back-and-forth play, initiating interactions, turn-taking, and sharing materials
